This button features the words “Women’s Bathhouse Defense Fund – Pussies Bite Back.” It was created in support of fundraising efforts to pay for the legal defense of the two women charged following the September 14th 2000 police raid on the event “2000 Pussies” at Club Toronto. This was one of the “Pussy Palace” bathhouse parties and events organized by the Toronto Women’s Bathhouse Committee set up in 1998, and the Committee quickly organized meetings and protests. A complaint was also filed with the Ontario Human Rights Commission
