This leaflet by the National Action Committee on the Status of Women (NAC) was part of its campaign against the 1992 deal, known as the Charlottetown Accord, made by Canada’s Prime Minister and Premiers to amend the Canadian Constitution. The NAC leaflet points out that the Accord takes back the rights already won by women and minorities in the 1982 constitution, provides no guarantee of equality for women under Aboriginal self-government, threatens social programmes, and ignores demands for gender equity and minority representation in the Senate.
