This multilingual poster for International Women’s Day was produced by the Canadian Labour Congress and Union Sisters in Solidarity: Canadian Auto Workers (CAW), Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO), International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW), Manitoba Federation of Labour (MFL), National Union of Public and General Employees (NUPGE), Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL), Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), Saskatchewan Federation of Labour (SFL), United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW), United Steel Workers Association (USWA), and Union of Needletrades, Industrial, and Textile Employees (UNITE).  The poster is a part of a series of posters for Weavers of World Rights.

The poster was designed by Joss Maclennan, and features illustrations by Dawn Lee, Jeannie Kamins, Richie Allen, Amy Gottlieb, Joss Maclennan, Lynda Lapeer, Martine Chartrand, and Shelley Niro. 

This poster is one of a number by Joss Maclennan featured in the Rise Up archival collection that illuminate her passion for clear language, strong visuals and dedication to social justice.. Her work supports change on issues spanning domestic violence prevention, reproductive justice, poverty, racism, 2SLGBTQIA+ and workers’ rights, the environment, and the arts, Joss has created designs and illustrations for some of Canada’s most iconic social justice campaigns, including The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
